The amp process

An outcome is only as good as the plan that precedes it. Understanding you/your business and the goals you have, or the problem you need to solve, is critical to a successful outcome. When you work with AMP Imagery, you get the whole process, not just a pretty picture and a half-hearted “good luck.” When I work with you, I invest the most important and most limited resource there is: time.

  • You’ll likely find me either through Google, or a referral. You’ll either reach out directly, or fill out the contact form on the website.

  • I respond to you within 24 hours, usually sooner. During this call, I’m gathering all the basic information about you and what you’re looking for; type of shoot, time-frame, budget, and ideal outcomes of the shoot.

  • Once I have all the initial info, and we agree to terms, we get a specific shoot day/time on the books to reserve the time we need to complete the shoot. I’ll also collect shoot deposit to move forward and cover the time spent preparing for the shoot.

  • During this call (or in-person meeting if you prefer), we’ll go over all the specific creative, locations, and plan for the shoot. We’ll nail down all the specifics so everybody involved knows what needs to happen for a successful shoot.

  • This is when I make sure everything is in place and ready, things like: location scouting (especially for drones if necessary), finalize scripts, hire talent/additional camera support, build out the shoot schedule, plan lighting setups.

  • The most exciting part of the process! Depending on the nature of the shoot, I show up 30 to 60 minutes before we’re set to begin shooting. This gives me time to prepare my gear, set up lights, and ensure everything planned for is in place and all parties are on site. We’ll follow the shoot schedule/shot list, as planned, but if something comes up, we’ll talk about it and determine the best path forward.

  • This is where the magic happens! First thing I do is backup all the content we shot as a safeguard to failing memory cards or hard drives. I get to work editing the photos/video as outlined in our strategy call/written agreement to be delivered within agreed upon timeline. Rush orders available, and will be determined in intro or strategy calls.

  • Once everything is edited and ready to send, I’ll delivery everything digitally via a link that you can download from, these 1st versions will have a watermark. You’ll have an opportunity to make 1 round of small revisions (should be all that’s necessary since we’ll start with a solid game plan).

  • Once you’ve signed off on everything, final payment will be sent for the un-watermarked versions to be released via same digital delivery method.
